My good friend gaz regan is responsible for reviving this lovely classic, by including it in his first book, The Bartender’s Bible, published in 1991.

A wonderful drink with its rich colours and earthy flavours


  • 45ml Agave Blanco Tequila
  • 30ml Campari
  • 15ml Dry Vermouth
  • dash Angostura Bitters


Combine all the ingredients in an Old Fashioned Glass filled with ice and stir well. Garnish with a twist of lemon.
